Acer Iconia Tab A200, an Android tablet mid-range

 
Acer has developed its shelf to try to scrounge market share in all segments. After the high end (Iconia Tab A500) and the market shelves 7 inches (Iconia Tab A100), Acer addresses the mid-range with the new A200 Iconia Tab.

This tablet, size 10 "as its big sister Iconia Tab A500, thinner (from 13.3 mm to 12.4 mm) and lose a few grams (from 765 g to 720 g) compared to its predecessor. If the design is pretty about the same, it is component-level differences (minor) occurring.

Otherwise, the Iconia Tab A200 Android tablet is a very classical: Nvidia Tegra 2 processor running at 1 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, WiFi and Bluetooth onboard, USB port, micro SDHC card slot (up to 32GB) to extend the amount of storage. The Acer Iconia Tab will be initially provided with Honeycomb Android 3.2, but an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich is already planned for early 2012.

Available before the end of the year, Acer has not announced pricing for its new tablet. But it will likely be in the range "midrange" or in the vicinity of 300 euros. What compete with one of the leaders of the segment such as the Archos 101 G9.
