Epson Stylus DX has two multi-function for the photo

Epson printers offer lab-quality prints for a great speed and rich connectivity.
Besides the new office BX series models and consumer SX, Epson offers the PX range, dedicated to the world of photography. Compose two references: the Stylus Photo Stylus Photo PX730WD and PX830FWD, multifunction printers upscale successor to PX720WD and PX820FWD, launched last year.Elegant, but bulky

The design is pleasant. Both adopt a multi format size bass, simple and modern mingling gloss, matt and satin in a solid color of black. A flat course design (20 cm), but bulky desktop (46.5 x 46 cm). But with advanced connectivity, including USB, LAN and Wi-Fi, you can put them in a corner of the office or home, well away from computers. Not too far away anyway, because the ferry leaves the team is rather small (120 sheets), it must be replenished frequently.
The manufacturer has not skimped on ergonomics. He has his two printers of most options: duplex printing, direct printing on CDs or DVDs, scanning, copying and faxing with an automatic document feeder, etc.. Both Epson and can even print directly receive e-mails and come with a print function and scan locally and from a smartphone or tablet (running with IOS or Android).
These Stylus have a color screen and an intelligent keyboard that shows only the keys used, a PictBridge USB port and a triple multiformat memory card reader (Compact Flash, SD, MMC, MS and xD). Standalone operation without a computer is possible. For everyday use, the Stylus Photo PX can count on a consistent software suite, to restore old photos, removing red eye or recognize (OCR) ...The premium for the fax PX830FWD
Technically, the Stylus Photo PX830FWD differs from PX730WD by the presence of a G3 color fax, scanner, CIS higher resolution (4800 dpi, 2400 dpi cons) and a touch screen control panel. While PX730WD merely a screen of 6.3 cm of average quality, the PX830FWD has a color screen and tactile quality (8.9 cm).
Otherwise, both models have the same technological advances: a print engine 1.5 picolitre Micro Piezo with a resolution of 5760 dpi six color cartridges and operator independent and fixed (only the print heads move). This engine is supposed to ensure a flow rate of 40 pages per minute (ppm) black and white or color and leave a photo 10 x 15 cm borderless in 10 seconds. One point that we will check.
The six cartridges, they use Claria Photographic ink colors for better resistance to deterioration: 100 years in a photo frame and 200 years in a photo album in the dark. For paper handling the multifunctional PX are housed in the same boat: a 120-sheet tray for A4 and 20 sheets for 10 x 15 cm or 13 x 18 cm, print on CD and DVD. Available, PX830FWD appears PX730WD and 230 euros, 180 euros.
