Google increasingly compete with Amazon

According to eWeek UK, Google is preparing to launch a new service in order to compete with Amazon Prime. Following an initial investigation by the New York Times, it was discovered that this new service would allow the orders from retailers, with home delivery.

For the Mountain View company, the goal is not to enter the retail market but rather to complement its research products via the Internet, with the ability to add advertising, and location-based features with Google Maps, Google social features +, means of payment in connection with the local shops with Google Checkout now and then delivery capabilities.

This service is currently available only for the cities of New York and San Francisco.
