iPad 3: production of the screens already started?

The production of the screen for the iPad 3, the next version of Apple tablet would have started recently. Three manufacturers would be affected: Samsung, Sharp and LG Display. The opportunity to take stock of the display that could embed the future Tablet.
According to CNET, which holds information analyst Richard Shim home DisplaySearch, the iPad 3 will carry a 9.7-inch QXGA screen with a definition of 2048×1536 pixels. Information which, if proved correct, would place the iPad 2 far behind with its definition of 1024 x 768 pixels.

The density of pixels on this screen would be 264 per inch, a figure close to that of a Retina display – 300 per inch – but confirmed that this technology will not make its appearance on the next generation of iPad. Ars Technica does, however, before the design of such screens will be a challenge for manufacturers, according to Richard Shim, would be expected to deliver the first models in January 2012 for mass production scheduled between February and March. Faced with “a lot of new technologies” in the words of Paul Semenza, DisplaySearch vice present of the three manufacturers in the production board may find it difficult to ensure on time.
Information that has yet to mature but still leaves 3 assume that the iPad will be much more powerful than the iPad 2 to manage a fourfold definition. Performance that would open new perspectives, but that should, logically, be reflected in the price of the tablet, at a time when competition appears to be aware that more drive prices down.
Finally, Richard Shim also suggests that, according to his information, Apple is working on the possibility of launching a smaller iPad in 2012. “If there is a demand, there is no reason that they do not develop a 7.85-inch iPad” he said. Remember, Steve Jobs said in October 2010 that the 7-inch tablets were “a bad idea, doomed to failure.” There have to wait 2012 to see the real plans of Apple’s side shelves.
