Windows 8 will be available in public beta in February 2012

Several sources "close to Microsoft" claim that the Redmond giant could offer a public beta of Windows from 8 February.
Here's some news that may interest the curious world of computing. According to several sources "close to Microsoft" and cited by The Next Web, Microsoft apparently intends to make public its beta Windows 8 from February. Develop preview version is available since last September.

The next major update of the Microsoft OS, scheduled for computers but also shelves would be expected in autumn 2012, even before we are to believe Nokia. Nevertheless, the arrival of the second half of 2012 makes the logic of February for a first public beta. We remember that Microsoft had done the same way with Windows 7 beta open to all and available six months before the final release.

This period may however be delayed due to a split OS. Microsoft offers two versions of its OS, in contrast to what was originally announced, according to ZDNet. The version for ARM chips tablets would be entitled only features based on the interface Metro (which incorporates the concept of tiles of Windows Phone 7). The computers also have access to the Windows Classic desktop and all applications that result.
